The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) consists of local and state transportation professionals who represent several areas of expertise and responsibility. The TAC advises and makes recommendations on the technical aspects of transportation issues.
Citizens’ Advisory Committee

The Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of three representatives from each of the county’s geographic areas – South, Mid, and West – and two At-Large Representatives. The CAC provides public input on proposed MPO transportation plans and programs.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
👣 🚲🚶♀️ 🚴
The purpose of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is to make recommendations to the MPO Board on bicycle and pedestrian facilities, including their planning and completion. BPAC meetings are generally held at 2 p.m. on the third Thursdays of March, June, September, and November.
Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board

The Charlotte County-Punta Gorda MPO is responsible for Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) planning activities including providing staff support to the Charlotte County Local Coordinating Board (LCB). The LCB provides direction, information, and advice to the Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC). Charlotte County Transit has provided transit services since 1984 and is the CTC for Charlotte County.
Currently we have one upcoming vacancy on the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC): South County Representative. This individual must be a resident of Charlotte County to serve on the BPAC. The BPAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects that the MPO Board will consider.
Currently we have one upcoming vacancy on the Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC): West County Representative. This individual must be a resident of Charlotte County to serve on the CAC. The CAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects that the MPO Board will consider.
Currently we have two vacancies on Local Coordinating Board (LCB): one Disabled Representative who is disabled- The purpose of the LCB is to identify local service needs and to provide information, advice, and direction to the Community Transportation Coordination of service to be provided to the transportation disadvantaged. And one Representative for Children at Risk
