The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) consists of local and state transportation professionals who represent several areas of expertise and responsibility. The TAC advises and makes recommendations on the technical aspects of transportation issues .
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of three representatives from each of the county’s geographic areas(South, Mid and West) and two At-Large Representatives. The CAC provides public input on proposed MPO transportation plans and programs.
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) purpose is to make recommendations to the MPO Board on bicycle and pedestrian facilities, including their planning and completion. BPAC meetings are generally held on the third Thursday in the months of March, June, September and November at 3 p.m. at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, 2280 Aaron Street in Port Charlotte.
Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) LOCAL COORDINATING BOARD (LCB)
The Charlotte County is responsible for TD planning activities including providing staff support to the LCB which provides direction, information and advice to the Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC). The Charlotte County provides transit services in the county since 1984.
